  • Dr Fiona Gray
    Dr Fiona Gray Adjunct Associate Professor

    Dr Fiona Gray is a built-environment professional with a focused interest in urban development and the processes that shape cities and regions. She is currently Manager, Central Geelong and Waterfront for the City of Greater Geelong.

    Fiona is an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Centre for Regional and Rural Futures at Deakin University. Her research has been recognised via awards including the Neil Archbold Memorial Medal, the SAHANZ David Saunders Grant and the Green Lines Institute Best Paper Award.

    Fiona is a registered architect with industry experience across a range of government and private sector projects, ranging in scale from small community facilities through to major built assets for multi-national companies.

  • Dr Cristina Garduño Freeman
    Dr Cristina Garduño Freeman Postdoctoral Research Fellow

    Dr Cristina Garduño Freeman is an academic in heritage, architecture and digital media, focused on social value and participatory culture. She is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Australian Centre for Architectural History, Urban and Cultural Heritage at the University of Melbourne.

    In 2017 she published her first research monograph titled Participatory Culture and the Social Value of an Architectural Icon: Sydney Opera House with Routledge, UK and won the IVSA Rieger Award in 2014.

    Previously she lectured at Deakin University and practiced in architecture and visual communication.

    Helen Kostiuk and Jennifer Cromarty Creative Geelong Inc

    Creative Geelong Inc is a proud partner in the Hubcaps to Creative Hubs project. Jennifer Cromarty (President) and Helen Kostiuk (Secretary) provided project support to the research team including project concept, promotion, media relations, community engagement and event management and general advice.

    Creative Geelong Inc is a not for profit founded in 2015 with the core purpose to highlight and support the creative industries in the Geelong region. More information here.

  • Nicholas Searle
    Nicholas Searle Director

    Nicholas Searle is a documentary maker and television producer who’s worked on much-loved factual shows including ABC’s Catalyst, Masterchef, Grand Designs Australia, The Recruit,  Ask the Doctor, Mythbusters and River Cottage Australia. SBS broadcast his documentary series BigArt in 2016.

    He has experience and skills in every aspect of television production, including shooting, editing and presenting.
